Do not stay here!
Positive:
The location of the hotel in the hutong is exciting and interesting, close to Bell and Drum tower and Lama temple. The common-spaces is beautiful. That’s about it, the rest is terrible!
Negative:
1. The room is falling apart, the wallpapers was taped together on the wall. The rooms smells like mold and cigarette-smoke.
2. Bad cleaning. Wear the slippers when you are in the room!
3. The wall sockets doesn´t work in the room. In our friends rooms there was one that worked.
4. No wi-fi in the room, only in the rooms that´s in the same house as the lobby, and even there the wi-fi is bad.
5. Very very very firm beds, the springs goes right up your back.
6. Only one lamp in the sealing. No bedtime reading…
7. Only ONE of the staff speaks English
8. No taxi-drivers find the hotel, even if you have the address in Chinese.
9. Avoid the breakfast! It´s expensive and terrible. Walk a few minutes to a hostel (Hostelling international) where there´s a restaurant next door, good breakfast.
10. The tour-company that the Hotel work with is bad, secret shopping -tops included in the tour.
It´s cheap but it´s not worth it, just do not stay here!
Negative critique to hotels.com is that they can´t provide the address in Chinese. Bad!
