My first time visiting Kazakhstan, and overall, I had a great stay at YES Apartments. The staff at check-in were friendly and genuinely helpful, especially if you don’t speak Russian or Kazakh—they really go above and beyond. That said, finding the place was surprisingly difficult. If you’re staying in the apartments (not the hotel), you’ll need to go up to the second floor, make a left, and follow the hallway until you see the “YES Apartments” sign. It’s not very intuitive, and since they recently changed their name, it made things even more confusing. Honestly, having a friend who spoke Russian made a huge difference. Once settled in, though, the experience was very solid. My room had a fantastic view, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean with reliable hot water. A big plus was the washer-dryer combo in the unit—super convenient, especially for travelers. There was also plenty of closet space. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning, which I found a bit unusual. Luckily, I had a nice breeze coming through the window, so it worked out. Overall, despite the tricky check-in logistics, it’s a comfortable and practical place to stay. I’d recommend it.
