We love Prescott House and stay here anytime we visit Saranac Lake, which is usually a couple times a year. We actually did a historical walking tour this visit that stopped here, so it was really neat to learn about the history of the house and Saranac Lake in general. Definitely recommend.

The building is historic and therefore has a rustic charm. The room, bathroom and bed were clean and comfortable. My room had its own bathroom however some rooms share a communal bathroom which was clean as well. I would definitely stay again.

The location was excellent as it's closeness to downtown was great 👍 👌 😀!! It takes a little getting use to having open bathrooms but it's possible. All things being equal this was quite an Enjoyable stay!

This facility is a lower cost alternative to the much more costly hotels in Saranac Lake. It reminded me of a hostel with shared bathrooms, kitchen, etc. We appreciated the warm feeling of the parlor area with the fireplace & coffee, the candy dish and local information on the table in the main entry hall, the laundry facilities in the basement, and the option to have a place to prepare meals in the kitchen in the basement. A space heater was provided in the room, and it was used because it was cold during our stay. The location is very convenient.

No in-room bathroom was an unpleasant surprise. We booked on hotels.com and the listing just said ‘queen bed room’ without mentioning that many of these rooms do not have a bathroom in the room. (The property website is more clean/honest.) Showering in a dormitory-style shower room at the other end of the building was uncomfortable. There was a half-bath near our room that was nice but you can’t bathe in it. Would not have booked if we had known the room did not have a bathroom inside of it. The property was lovely and convenient to our needs. The room and the bathroom down the hall were basic but clean.

Rustic kitchen so bring your own breakfast, fabulous fireplace in room, comfortable bed, staff minimal but very friendly and helpfull, plenty of parking, walking sticks available, comfortable heated rooms, nice decor. We definitely would go back again.

Self check in worked well for us and the room was a good size. AC worked fine in the room, Nice to have the kitchen downstairs available to use. Coffee/tea room in the morning was a great first stop after coming downstairs. Shared bathroom on 2nd floor worked out well for us as well. The bath towels were enormous as well. Beautiful old building, nicely redone. Very basic amenities, but very clean and well-kept. Bring your own TV service (Roku, FireTV, etc.) as there are TVs in every room but no TV service. WiFi is free, though. Location is very close to downtown Saranac Lake and in a very quiet neighborhood. We loved sitting out on the 2nd floor porches.

I enjoyed having a nice cup of coffee at 5 am in the first floor welcome room. They even had a small fridge with Half-n-half. (Lactose intolerant varieties too) My room had a fridge and microwave which was awesome. The basement kitchen is amazing and the game room too. Parking is plentiful and my room had air con. The large backyard had a badminton set for all to enjoy.

When I booked the place,have was not mentioned that Bathrooms and showers are shared,but for 1,2 days is ok. On other side was very clean,room perfect size with fridge,AC,water. And in living room downstairs was great coffee and tea and milk and games,books. Lovded my stay for money and what has to offer for short trip. Thank you.

Great place to stay for a weekend getaway, the home is historic, unique, and beautiful. The host was very accommodating and the property manager was happy to help with making the stay an incredible experience. I recommend the Prescott House to anyone looking to make the most out of a trip to the Adirondacks.
