If you’re searching for a single room and don’t mind chaotic surroundings, excessive noise, or a lack of essential qualities for a decent stay, then this place might suit you. Upon my arrival, the owner from Belgium was friendly but shockingly unprepared; he admitted I was his first guest from Expedia and was surprised to learn I had already paid. Given his lack of readiness, he informed me that my room had ongoing construction, which was the only option available.
Entering the room, I found unrefined, plastered walls that were in dire need of sanding and painting, with debris scattered across the floor and table. It was completely unsanitary, but I reluctantly accepted it since I was in a foreign country with limited choices. Additionally, the mini fridge was unplugged, as was the air conditioner, making it uncomfortable until I managed to get it to a reasonable temperature.
The most frustrating aspect was the total lack of hot water. After messaging the owner, he explained that he turns off the hot water from 8 PM to 6 or 7 AM to save money. I was trying to shower both at night and again in the morning before I left. When I asked him to switch it back on, he seemed put out, even urging me, "hurry up and don’t take long please.” I felt rushed, and after struggling with cold water for ten-plus minutes while he texted me, “now!,” I ended up taking a cold shower. I absolutely do not recommend staying here and will not return. Look for a better and safer neighborhood option!
