This was a disastrous experience.
The apartment messaged me two days before my departure asking for my WhatsApp number, which I provided immediately. However, I never heard back from them after that, not even via WhatsApp.
The check-in instructions stated that I could contact their virtual assistant upon arrival. To my shock, the virtual assistant replied saying they could not find anyone to provide the room keys and offered a refund as the only solution.
I arrived at the airport at 10:00 PM and reached the apartment reception by 11:15 PM. My group of six was forced to find alternative accommodation in the middle of the night, which cost us an extra HKD $6,000 for just one night. We then had to find another hotel for the remainder of our trip.
Is this acceptable treatment? I strongly demand reasonable compensation for this ordeal.
