Had to ring customer services to get the entry code etc, but details sent straight away. Easy walking distance to the town centre and bus/train station. Room was very spacious (I was upgraded from a single to a double), clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend to other travellers 🙂

Walking in, the room smelt of cigarettes and damp. It was shocking. The mattress was appalling as well - it might as well have not be there. Would have been more comfortable sleeping on the slats. In the middle of the night, the fire alarm went off in the whole hotel - with no staff manning the place, I’d be surprised if the owner even knows this happened. It was simply silenced by a fellow guest, which meant it went off again later in the evening. I also failed to see any fire safety signs around the hotel, no muster point or anything? We were just left guessing. What if there was an actual fire? The walls must be made of paper mache, as you can hear everything everyone is saying - might as well join in the conversation. There is a good 4cm gap in the bottom of the door too - so anyone walking down the hallway can be heard. Might be better too to have a closing time for the kitchens - people are trying to sleep and others are marauding up the corridor as if they’re doing a marching drill in the army! Would not recommend and will not be staying again!

Bathroom door doesn’t close. Owner /management did not respond when contacted about other unruly guests setting fire alarm off three times - causing us to evacuate at midnight in -2 temperatures. Bedding definitely was not clean

Clean and comfortable but overpriced

It was a last minute booking due to our original hotel cancelling the evening before the Coldplay concert. It was adequate, clean and comfortable however extremely overpriced and clearly the hotel was taking advantage of people visiting for the concert. I looked and tonight the evening after the same hotel room is 185 cheaper.
