An Unforgettable Stay – True Bukharan Hospitality at Its Finest! We had an incredible stay at Hotel Sarhad Bukhara and cannot recommend this property highly enough! First and foremost, the staff is phenomenal and went above and beyond every single day. Right at check-in, they helped us find the exact room that suited our needs best. Throughout our stay, they supported us with translations and shared great local tips on markets and shopping centers. Every evening when we returned, they welcomed us back with complimentary hot tea, which became a favorite ritual. The brand-new property is beautifully designed and built, featuring a gorgeous courtyard and inviting sitting areas on every level. Our room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with all modern amenities. Breakfast each morning was delicious with plenty of options, and the dining staff was equally warm and attentive. Finally, the location is unbeatable—right in central Bukhara, with almost all major sights, trading domes, and restaurants within easy walking distance. We had a wonderful time, and I will not stay at any other hotel when I return to Bukhara. Highly recommended!

Refurbished classic building with courtyard. Furniture and design of the rooms is very modern and pleasing. The family running the hotel is lovely and all about the customer experience. The hotel is in a location very near the Ark Fortress but not in the middle of things. Great breakfast!

We stayed in 4 different hotels across our Uzbekistan trip and this was our favourite. Firstly the hotel is new and stunning. Styled beautifully and in a boutique style. Our room was perfectly laid out with every thing well thought out. We had the ability to unpack and store our cases away. Bathroom was stunning. Large, modern and well kitted out. The hotel has various shared spaces, courtyards, lounges, rooftop terrace. This made it a great place to relax in between the tourist sites. Hotel is family run and they are so welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much. We were offered teas and coffee all through the day. They gave us a packed breakfast for our early train without us asking. Whilst a little bit further from the main old town it is a short walk to some key sites. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a great location - about a 20 minute walk to old town & local restaurants. The staff was great - they were welcoming, friendly & helpful, We met the owner of the hotel & what a nice and humble man he is. The room & bathroom are clean & spacious, breakfast was excellent. I would stay here again if I ever go back to Bukhara.

Lovely new hotel, very charming and well kept. Our suite was spacious and super comfortable, everything brand new. Breakfast was generous and the staff really friendly and helpful — they even packed us a lunch box since our train left before sunrise.

I had an exceptional stay at this family-run hotel. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was truly heartfelt. The owner and his family welcomed us warmly and even offered complimentary confectionary items, which was such a thoughtful touch. The property itself is modern, newly built, and beautifully designed. Every detail—from the decor to the fixtures—feels fresh, stylish, and thoughtfully put together. It’s clear the family has invested a lot of care into creating a comfortable and visually appealing space for guests. The owner’s sons were incredibly helpful—always on their feet, assisting with breakfast and making sure every guest was looked after. One of his sons even walked with me personally to guide me to the Friday prayers, which was an extremely kind gesture that I’ll always appreciate. The breakfast had a good variety, and the entire family constantly checked in to see if we needed anything. Their respect, kindness, and accommodating nature made the experience feel very personal. In all my travels across Uzbekistan, this hotel stands out as one of the best in terms of customer service. Their dedication, modern facilities, and genuine care for guests make it a place I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

The hotel is in a great location, but unfortunately, the customer service was very disappointing. I had booked and prepaid for two apartment suites several months in advance — one of them as a special gift for my newlywed brother. Upon arrival, we were told that one of our rooms was unavailable due to “maintenance issues.” However, after expressing our concerns, the staff admitted that they had actually given our reserved suite away as a free upgrade to another guest without our consent. Shockingly, they even suggested that if we had any concerns, we could speak directly to the guest who took our room. This is completely unacceptable, especially considering that we paid in advance specifically to secure those suites. It’s unfair that another guest received an upgrade at our expense. Additionally, the mattresses in the rooms were extremely hard and uncomfortable — they definitely need replacing. Overall, while the location is excellent, the service and handling of our booking were very poor and left a negative impression.
