I like the secure code option. Most comfortable hotel I’ve stayed in; amazing mattress. Friendly staff. Thank you!

My first contact was when I noticed I had reserved a room for the wrong date. Holly was gracious enough to change to the correct date and fortunate for us another room was available. When I returned home, I realized my iPad was missing. I called Holly and she was able to find. My first experience with The Tanglewood was such after two of my mistakes, they may not want us back. Holly’s business sense was very good. She was always calm and ready to help when needed, spoke clearly and was poised. She is a keeper.

Great communication. Beautifully maintained. What a neat structure and set up. The blend of modern and hostoric. Cool little community. My only issue was the mattress was really uncomfortable. Hard as a rock.

Pros: The building is unique and has historic charm which we enjoyed. The location was perfect for the reason of our stay. Cons: The walls were paper thin. I could hear every single word of the neighbor next door. My husband had to knock on the door at a late hour for the neighbor to turn down the action movie that was being watched. I couldn't imagine if there was an event downstairs how loud it would have been. I could hear every person walking in the hallway. The floors, though rustic in charm were quite loud to walk on and slippery as well. The bathroom and bedroom could use more places to set things or "storage" easily could add additional shelving or curio cabinet. The products in the shower were like water, maybe they were at the end of the use, but they didn't wash much. Overall the stay was fine, I think with some acoustic paneling on the walls it would go a long way in the comfort of guests. Would stay again if there were no other options in the area, rating solely based on the noise disruption.

To start, the room was very clean. The property is well maintained and looks like a great venue for a wedding or event. Our room was on the first floor, and we had to navigate through two banquet style rooms to get there. The contactless entry info was not provided in a timely manner, and we had to call staff to be let in. There is no staff on site, that i could see. Our room was equipped with a coffee maker and local coffee, and nice linens. The decor was nice and the room was clean but the bed was uncomfortably hard. Like sleeping on cardboard on the floor hard. My wife and I both woke up sore and really didnt sleep much. It was hard to block out the light from the city, and the pictures of the views on the website did not match the views from our window. They had not updated thier clocks since time change so we were an hour late for our plans that morning. I would say that this is a nice building with alot of possible uses but the contactless hotel leaves something to be desired. Some more attention to details or addition of some actual staff may help.
