Poor housekeeping but awesome GM
I’m torn about this hotel. The property has a very good location, the rooms are nice enough with comfortable beds and a roomy, well-lit bathroom, and the breakfast rather good. However, we experienced a lot of issues during our stay. We had to change rooms several times during check-in since our assigned rooms were dirty, and the room we did end up with had a loose toilet seat and stained towels and sheets. The showerhead was also really poor and the wifi weak (my Iphone XS was time and time again disconnected). I was also rather annoyed over the lack of easily accessible outlets near the bed. That said, the property has a truly outstanding GM, Mr. Basnayake, who asked us about our stay and went above and beyond to rectify everything when we shared our concerns with him. I was really impressed with his service and I am sure that the hotel will improve further and continue to thrive :)
