They’re basically selling hotel nights right on top of a night club, located in the same space where they serve breakfast. We had a terrible experience, trying to sleep to a steady bass sound.
So impossible to sleep until 1:30 in the morning, but also impossible to take an afternoon nap as they do afternoon parties as well. Not even with earplugs. And we took this trip in order to get rest.
We have no idea how they can claim to be 4 stars. This is at the very best a 3 star hotel in our view, especially since there’s contstant noise from the breakfast area. We believe you should be able to sleep in a 4 star hotel. 2 or 3 stars should be accurate for this place.
Talking to the staff, it’s obvious they’re aware of the problem and uncomfortable talking about it. As I asked to speak to the manager, they systematically procrastinated the meeting. “He’ll be here later”, “he didn’t come, but tomorrow he’ll be here”, etc.
On the day of our checkout he still hadn’t shown up and they said they could do no reimbursement because we booked through hotels.com and should take it through them. Afterwards I called hotels.com who said “Sure, let’s just call the hotel to see if they want to refund you the money” like that would ever happen. A ridiculous sharade, and to little surprise, Prima Tel Aviv did not want to refund the money.
I strongly advice against booking Prima Tel Aviv given their attitude, the dubious 4 star rating, and the overall handling of the situation.
