Oki place for a weekend
Jaco is a cosy little town with beautiful surroundings. This hotel is located close to everything and on the beach. But they only had a few sunbeds on the beach so we had to lay on the sand. The food was good for a weekend but I would probably get bored with it for longer than that. Also it always took forever for us to get coffee with our breakfast and wine with our dinner. The staff was more focused on preparing the tables for lunch or breakfast the next day and ignored us. Also it's not very nice to eat from plastic plates. I think this hotel could really improve their environmental impact. At the snack bar everything was disposable, the plates, forks etc. Also at the bars they used disposable glasses. The people working at the bars were really nice and service minded. The room was clean but the bathroom had a weird smell. The pool area was nice, I liked that they played music and that they had a water gymnastics class in the morning. Overall I had a really nice stay but I don't think that service was so good and I had higher expectations when I booked this place. Also, I had booked a room for one person instead of two and it was impossible to add another person to my room. I was in contact with both hotels.com and the hotel itself months before our stay but for some reason it was impossible to fix this. It was cheaper and easier for me to book a second room so in the end we had two rooms (4 beds for 2 people, sleeping place for 6 people). I found it really ridiculous.
