Mixed feelings and not great overall
This was a getaway planned to be a wonderful experience with great food, calm and nice surroundings, and it was partly.
The resort is located beautifully with mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. The area it self is very beautiful with lush bushes and trees adding to a great atmosphere. The room we had was the junior suite and yes it had a tub and yes it was bigger but it was far from something extra and for a hotell claiming this many stars I expect more from being at other places around the globe. It feels dated inside the room and even if it is okay and fine enough it just doesn't match the expectations. The shower flooded as have been mentioned by many others and we had a bath gel that was sour.
The food on the area is the greatest disappointment by far, it was bland, lacking taste and the resort have several restaurants on the map, however only two are open and with the same menu. There is a buffet at lunch and night but it is simply not wort it. The buffet comes with one drink and sparkling water is not among them, that is extra.. While you could get a vodka included..
The pool is great, huge and open to 10pm but you can only get a towel until 8pm even though the guy is still standing there taking towels back. The "free shuttle" is a golf car that they run 2 times per day to the beach otherwise they advise taxi. There are bikes but they want an hourly rate for them.
Overall operations are lacking and the mindset is making money not serving customers
