Not the best service level you expect
The hotel is a new modern hotel and was very clean. I stayed at floor 4 so avoid the noise from the street but it didn't help. Even if i didn't hear the traffic the noise from elevators machine room and my neighbours I couldn't sleep. The walls must be very thin because I could hear almost everything from my neighbours room.
Since I was really tired I ordered something to eat from the room service. Or actually I tried to order. To order a burger, I talked to three different persons. They basically couldn't understand English. However, I got my burger after 50 minutes, and it was not that tasty.
The second day, I asked the front desk to change room and it was no problem. I didn't hear the neighbours but the elevator noise was still there.
The restaurant was OK but not more. The service is slow and they dont always understand you.
However, this was my first time in Santo Domingo and believe there are better hotels. The hotel was nearby to my meetings and I was recommended to stay here. However, if there will be any next time, I will choose something else.
