Small and quiet hotel with a personal feeling
We were warmly welcomed from the start after they had someone pick us up at Siem Reap airport (at no extra cost!) and the staff would continue to be just as service minded. The room was spacious. I took a liking to a certain poster in the room and it was actually available for purchase :) The breakfast was good - my favorites being the mango slices and bread. It was also neat to have the private sitting area outside the room. The pool area gets easily crowded and I would suggest the hotel to have some of the trees cut down and move some of the sunbeds for better sun exposure. The trees with the white flowers drop seeds all the time on some of the sunbeds which can be slightly annoying. If you want one of the "best" sunbeds with an umbrella, it's first come, first served. Also, what's up with the queen size, non-adjustable sunbeds? / Like many other guests, we had a personal tuk-tuk driver, Mr Sok, take us to the temples. At first we not only underestimated the distance from the hotel to the temples, but also how vast the Angkor area really is. So once again, many thanks to Mr Sok. We saw some people riding bikes but we strongly recommend a tuk-tuk as you will climb and walk a lot anyway. / Siem Reap itself was ok, you can find some nice souvenirs and also very cheap beer. Cambodia is one of the world's poorest countries which means there are many beggars around. Organized crime or not, it is deplorable to see. But one cannot help everybody. / All in all, recommended.
