During my first visit I had the most amazing room and even though I didn't expect an upgrade this time, my expectations were quite high. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. Instead of a beautiful, cosy room, I had a huge room with a kitchenette. The furnishing was very austere and impersonal, anything but cosy actually and there were some locked cabinets that made it feel like a storage space. I'm sure the huge windows are a nice feature but the draught made the room even cooler. There was quite a distance from the bed to the toilet and the bathroom (separate areas) and I suppose slippers would have made the stay somewhat more comfortable. Also, I did not expect a six minute walk from the reception/restaurant to the room but then of course it is a big hotel.
Breakfast was good, the bar is nice and the service cannot be faulted so if it hadn't been for the room I would have been very pleased this time as well.
