Hotel is situated very close to one of the city centers - Breitscheidplatz (10 mins walk) - just by the square and U-bahn station Wittenbergplatz. So the location is great. You have a square complete with at least 6-7 restaurants of your choosing. And the walk to Breitscheidplatz i full of stores and shopping malls. So great shopping is promised there too. Maybe a bit pricy sometimes, especially now when the euro is strong.
The hotel itself has friendly staff, an adequate breakfast buffet which was included in the price. Otherwise 9 eur. The room we had, standard double-room, was spacy and so forth. The bathroom smelled a bit, they're not using any perfumed detergents, which was a minus. They're selling organic detergents these days people! With perfume... A little advice on the road. The beds were comfortable, but and here's and important but - the pillows were awful and flat. Felt like they where stuffed with small bits of cotton or something. We got 2 extra pillows from the reception, but they were equally awful.
All in all a good place to stay at. Don't expect anything fancy here though. We saw the "comfort" rooms and they looked the same as the standard ones, just a bit bigger. But and here's another but - location, location, location. It's all about that staying here. Just a great one of those. So this hotel works ok just for a few days. Staying longer? Then choose something else and don't let the high ratings fool you.
