We chose this hostel because of the nice pictures of the view and the seemingly cozy room. The view was really nice and the room was cozy. However there were a few things on the negative side of the scale. First of all you can hear everything going on in the building, whether it's your next door neighbour closing the door, ppl walking up and down the stairs, or the upstairs neighbours simply walking around and talking in their room. The house is very old which gives it this very cozy and unique ambience but it's also what makes it impossible to get a calm moment. Also something that wasn't listed anywhere was the fact that there is a lot of construction going on next to and around the building. There was an entire building being erected just outside the balcony which partially disturbed the view, but they start working early in the morning and work all day. You will hear trucks backing up, electric saws grinding through steel pipes and construction workers yelling orders to each other. The bed in the room was not too bad, we had the deluxe room which gave us good space and a large bed. However there was no hand soap in the bathroom, I'm guessing this was a miss from the cleaning crew but still annoying to have to go out to buy soap, especially since there isn't anyone in the reception except for check-in and check-out
We got a great reception however and David let us both check in early and check out late. He also maintained a good contact with us to solve a technical error.
