This is a unique property and it makes for a lovely quiet break. It takes a bit of bravery to drive up the narrow street to the hillside location - don't hire a big car. But a car is essential, as there is little close by. Even the walk to and from the very rocky beach isn't for the faint hearted (and that isn't by the steeper direct walking route).
Our superior sea view room was small but lovely. However at the top of the building the windows are tiny - a great sea view, but for one person at a time.
The pool is tiny and would look crowded if more than two got in at any one time. Oh and the loungers are really uncomfortable - but then why would you stay by the pool all day? It's not that kind of place.
What is great here is the food and the service. Whether it's the simple but perfect buffet breakfast, or the wonderful quality of the dinner in the restaurant. And indeed the snack menu by the pool if you do choose to brave the loungers. Absolutely yum, every time. The menu doesn't change though, so choose this place for a short break, not a long holiday as I imagine it could get boring.
The staff are all young, but so helpful friendly and not over eager. Perfectly pitched.
This is a wonderful place to base yourself if you want to travel around during the day, but return in the evening to a beautiful meal and a calm romantic atmosphere.
