Deep concerns regarding the unsanitary conditions we encountered during our stay at the DoubleTree Gainesville on 40th.
We recently evacuated due to Hurricane Milton and were fortunate to secure a room at this hotel. However, when we were tucking our children into bed, we discovered blood and/or feces on the bedding. This is not only unacceptable but also potentially hazardous to the health of my family, including my young children.
We immediately removed the bedding, and I went to the front desk. I was informed that the hotel was fully booked, so we could not change rooms. While I was given a replacement comforter, we had to request new sheets separately. Although we tried to make the best of the situation, the fact remains that this level of cleanliness is inexcusable, especially for a family with children seeking refuge from a natural disaster.
