Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Harbor on Tudor Wharf is a very family oriented place while in Boston. It is a bit off the main attractions but has many practical features, a gym, a pool and great views over the harbour. It is walking distance (10 minutes) to North Station which then takes you by train to any place in the Boston Metropolitan Area. Getting a Charlie Card entitles you to single journeys for a fraction of the cost of taxi; if you still prefer a taxi there are usually one pulling up all day around. You are also close to TD Garden and we could get tickets to Boston Celtics NBA play off, and again just walking to and from the match! The room is quite spacious; ours was a studio with one queen size and one sofa bed, which worked fine for the an adult and a teenager. If you travel as a larger group there are also more spacious rooms. There is a fridge, a micro dishwasher and space to eat in if you prefer that, which is a greta advantage. Breakfast is included, which is a huge asset when you travel as a family. The kids can eat as much as they want and that keeps them going for several hours! Nearby the hotel is the end/start of the Freedom Trail, and you can walk into Charlestown, an area with history and vert nice properties, as nice (or even nicer) as Beacon Hill. Within walking distance are also some great eating places. Our favourite during the week we stayed at the hotel was Legal Oysteria, with great seafood for a reasonable price.
