Sheraton Tirane is probably one of the best hotels in Albania. That said, there is still the small imperfections and signs of low quality that seems to be an Albanian trademark.
The corridor floors have holes, covered up by the rug. The bathroom door kept opening itself (no lock), the minibar was warm and the TV channels disappeared from time to time.
The extra service and bars at the hotel is extremely expensive compared to the rest of Albania, so eat and drink outside the hotel. It feels ridiculous that they charge 15 euros for 24 h of internet, something you get for free at most restaurants and the most basic hostel. For 15 euros you can check in to another hotel with free WiFi and use it as a private office and still save money. And breakfast at 23 euros in a country where you rarely pays 20 euro for a three course meal?
But lets be honest, if you stay at Sheraton you probably is´t to worried about your financial situation, and this is still as good as its gets in Albania.
