We were happy with the hotel. I am a Filipina married to a Swede and we have two children. We'd lived in the center of Makati for 5 yrs back in 1995 to 2000. We booked in this hotel because we like the Ayala Alabang area. Positive points about this hotel: fresh, modern, in a clean and safe area, nice breakfast buffet, good service, competent front-desh personnel and the most important of all, a shuttle bus to and from ATC (Ayala Town Center). However, you need to have a cell phone in order to call the hotel for the pick-up. Negative points: in distance it's not far but considering the traffic in Manila it's a bit far from the NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport). The flat-rate taxi costs about Php530, and if you take the over-pass you have to pay the toll rate of Php 164. Sometimes they do not mention this at the airport. That's a total of Php 694. For European or Swedish standards that's still cheap but in the Phils. this is expensive. But using the over-pass makes the trip faster. In Manila, the traffic is unpredictable, so always give about an hour's extra time to wherever you want to go. We only stayed overnight before our flight back to Europe. If you're a tourist, this might not be the most practical hotel to stay at since it's a bit far from sightseeing places in Manila or the bigger malls where you have more choices of restaurants and recreational activities. I would suggest you stay somewhere in Makati or The Fort (Taguig City) where it's more accessible.
