The Pembroke Inn is a very cute boutique inn which has recently undergone some renovations. I am excited to see future improvements.
Hotel staff was quite friendly and helpful, check in and check out were quick and seamless, and we were often reminded of the free coffee in the lobby.
Our room was minimalist, but it could have been improved by a few extra amenities, such as a hair dryer. It was nice to have a mini fridge to store leftovers, and the bathroom was beautifully done.
The floors were very uneven and quite warped, and felt like they had not been mopped in quite some time, feeling gritty underfoot.
We found the walls to be quite thin, and people leaving and entering the neighbouring rooms were quite noisy, particularly in the early hours of the morning (1am, 2am, for example). Not something that can necessarily be helped by hotel staff, but earplugs are recommended, particularly because our room backed into an active construction site.
Overall, a decent place to stay for the price, and looking forward to future improvements!
