Impressive building but too many faults
We booked two nights in a double inside room in July. Upon arrival we were greeted by lovely and helpful staff. When we arrived to our room we were surprised by how tiny it was. We didnt expect to have a nice wiew but neither to have a dirty window. It felt like being in a cruise ship cabin. Everything in the room was dated apart from the shower that was new and functional. It was so hot in the room that my kids had trouble sleeping, no ventilation in the room. Wi-fi was awful, i was forced to buy extra data on my phone to be able to work.
The premises are stunning, and the wiew from the breakfast restaurant are amazing. Breakfast was poor for the price we payed that was about 4500swedish kronas for two nights. Limited choices, no fresh vegetables and not a big choice for kids.
Service was very slow, i had to get up and ask for coffee and tea both morning. We had to ask for them to refill the food. We had to wait for the eggs and the sausage. I asked for the berry compote twice and left without being able to eat it.
The swimmingpool area is dated but was great for the kids. The location is absolutely perfect, it’s such a pity that the service was so poor. So i don’t recommend this place, just take a walk past it but i wouldn’t spend the night here.
This was the most expensive stay during our English roadtrip And the worst. It wasnt worth the money!
