I am a Sales Rep, so I travel a lot and stay in Motels a lot. At the end of my stay I need a GST tax invoice to reimburse money from my company. So, I asked them for a tax invoice and Zeta Motel sent me an invoice for the amount they recieved from Expedia. Which is a little less for what I paid, because Expedia has taken a commission from it. However, in my case I want an invoice for the full amount I paid and I do not want to know what commission Expedia took. I contacted Expedia to ask for an invoice and the invoice Expedia gave me does not have their GST number. So, I had to call Expedia again to send me a customized invoice with their GST number on it. When I called the Motel the receptionists were extremely rude and gets annoyed when you ask questions to understand why this is happening. Three months ago I stayed at this Motel and I was able to get a GST tax invoice without any issues. If I can get it then why can't I get it now? My advice is if you are travelling for work and need a GST Tax invoice after your stay, stay away from this place. But if you are travelling on your own money to see places, it is a good place to stay with good facilities. You do not have to deal with staff if you do not need invoices.
