The hotel is lovely in terms of design, location and friendliness. It was however very frustrating how staff kept missing communication.
This poor communication kept being repeated during the week. We asked to get our room early and where promised a notice as soon as it was ready - we ended up getting it (after several hours of waiting) - at 5.30 PM (something which the staff could have informed us already in the morning). We asked for Tonic Water to be sent to the room and instead we got water. We were told that the restaurant would not open until 5.30, but that we could dine at The Bar that opened at 5 - however they turned out to not serve food until 5.30. We were invited to a free glass of wine at 5.30 while waiting for taxi, but when we arrived they insisted that this offer only started at 6. We were told they would help us find a taxi, but when we needed it they said they couldn't help. I was told I would the receipt sent through email but it has still not arrived (I double checked the email address stored in the system).
All together it meant constant small and large frustrations, when promises weren't kept and communication kept failing. Staff was through and through friendly, but just not professional.
I doubt I will be staying there again.
