Overall the hotel and room were good. We have never stayed at a Tru before. I know it was a busy weekend with kids moving back to college and they were fully booked. It was frustrating hearing doors slamming well past midnight and we were disappointed with breakfast or lack of. If you promote 24 hour coffee then you should definitely have the pots full for breakfast. By 8am coffee was empty and buffet was slim and slowly being stocked. Plan better when you know it’s a busy weekend in CoMo.

The property was attractive, safe, easy to get to. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very good, as was the coffee. I appreciated the fridge and full length mirror. The only thing missing was a microwave, but one was available in the lobby.

Worst hotel customer service I have ever experienced. Booked through hotels.com but they (this Tru location) said since their system wasn't operating well that they had no record of my reservation and refused to help in any way. Simply said for me to contact Hotels.com, even though I could show them the reservation on my phone (and it was clear by the parking lot they had tons of rooms available). Had to jump through a ton of hoops and threaten legal action to get my money back. Put a black mark on our whole vacation and soured us on Tru and the whole Hilton brand.

In today's world unless its bad, a hotel is a hotel...except when the team is not just friendly but personable, genuine and authentic. And that's really what made this stay stand out. Everyone was friendly, but there were 3 that really stood out. Sadly I didnt get everyone's name as the interactions were brief. But when I first got there a housekeeper greeted me near the elevator and we had a great chat. When I was checking out another housekeep I assume she was a manager or lead, also greeted us, had a small chat. And finally Dee. We met Dee at breakfast the first day. She is wonderful. Friendly yes but also personable. This wasn't just someone that was polite. It was someone who by their nature connects with people. She joked but also was busy getting work done. You can tell the difference between someone that is just doing their job and someone that is great with people. The next morning she was there as we left and again with same great attitude. We also saw her right before leaving and had a chance to chat again. So much customer service is just bland. Sure its polite and friendly but its not well its not Dee. She made that stay for us. I t wasn't a perfect stay but pretty close to it thanks to those three team members.

I made a reservation that day, came rolling in late and couldn’t have been happier with my interactions with the staff. My room was comfortable, there was a small fridge but I didn’t see a microwave or coffee maker — didn’t need them but wanted to mention in case others are counting on. Breakfast options were fine and area was well stocked and maintained — staff was right on it. The lobby/commons area is pretty busy visually and aurally — the front desk, breakfast, tables and chairs and work stations and foosball and loud TV all in one big open space. Not my favorite but it worked. Roller shades in the room are great but make what seemed like a lot of noise when operated. Loved the climate control options — continuous fan is a must for me when hotel is near a heavily used highway. And the room and common areas appeared to be spotlessly clean.
