A truly great hotel overall, but with great ambition comes great responsibility and our expectations were therefore high. Our room was unfortunately equipped with troublesome, motorized, drapes, which we didn't notice until we were going to bed the first night. We weren't in the mood to have someone come look at it right away, although I don't doubt they would have tried to fix it ASAP given the chance. Nevertheless, we went to bed with only the sheer curtains closed, the dark drapes stuck in it's motorized rails, and therefore we woke bright and early when the sun came up. We let the front desk know about the issue and they would send someone up as we went out. When we returned that afternoon 1/3 of the drapes were fixed so we let the front desk know that the issue at large remained.
We wen't out to dinner, and we returned to see all the drapes closed, finally! We didn't want to push our luck so we didn't try to open them even though we weren't ready for bed, and that was fortunate because the next morning, one of the drapes didn't open, and trying to close them all again proved troublesome still. We were checking out that day so we urged the front desk to have them fixed for real before the next guest arrived, which they promised they would. Through the whole process, the staff were apologetic and nice, it was just a very annoying problem, we wouldn't have minded closing them by hand, but that wasn't possible when they sat in the rails. Some of the lights were also broken.
