Tropical, lush surroundings with flowers and birds. With an equally warm and wonderful host. This is an escape kind of place. People won't bother you as you are the last property that can be walked to by the beach. There is a swing and lounge chairs that were always available when we were there. You can watch people fishing and dogs frolicking in the sand. There is some snorkeling that can be done, but it is in shallow water that visibility becomes a problem. The water though is the temperature of bathwater.
There are facilities for you to use such as a restaurant. (There are many things that can be made, but ask a day early for things that need to be ordered fresh such as seafood.) As well, there is a massage therapist on site. My massage was very deep, but effective at curing a one year old seized back. There is a library full of books, which is really what this hotel is ideal for. That and finding peace.
Be aware that this isn't a fancy hotel. In your room the bed is typically Thai hard. The simple furnishings are useful, but dated. There is wardrobe and a book case, a futon like sofa. There is a shower and a clean toilet. The windows allow in some fresh air from outside. You are in a one room bungalow, so the air conditioning needs a key to start up when you return from an outing. It is heaven for a backpacker, but it isn't a four star hotel standard.
That said I found the place endearing. After a few days, it had charmed me and I felt at home.
