Villa Cariola is situated beautifully on the slopes east of the Garda lake. There is no view to the lake though that is too far away.
The positive aspects of this place is the beautiful area, the villa itself is just as nice as the pictures. The pool is great and I enjoyed morning swims before breakfast. The breakfast is better than average and adapted to European standards with bread, ham, eggs, bacon, cheeses, fresh mixes of sliced fruits, yogurt and of course the typical Italian cakes. The air conditioning worked well, the Wi-fi was functional also down at the pool(!) and the beds where better than average.
The negative aspects where the posh and egocentric young ladies at the reception desk. The last day though we were treated very nicely by a slightly older middle aged lady that gladly helped us with any questions and extra towels for the pool and also took a lot of photos of my whole family. The price of this place is too high as it is only rated three star, but helps create that feeling of exclusivity that the place has. We had dinner one evening and enjoyed it very much. Be sure to eat there during your stay.
