The hotel is away from the main town along an unlit road with piles of rubbish, and broken glass (though the whole of Copacabana is like that).
Met by a very helpful manager (wearing a 'Playboy' sweatshirt) we were shown a nicely designed room with a great view of the lake. The bathroom was great and nicely designed, with hot water.
But the place is not really clean, and seems unfinished. Paint spatters on the windows and floors. When the room was 'cleaned' after the fist night, one bin was left unemptied and only half the towels replaced. There are only sachets of shampoo as amenities. Dust is visible under sofas etc. Electrical wires are visible in stairways, with precarious lighting.
The hotel is in three 'towers' and you can hear your above and below neighbours every move, cough, conversation etc. The whole thing seems a bit unfinished and uncared for.
However, that said, I cannot compare with other accommodation in Copacobana.
