Great location but bad traffic
We had a good stay in Mexico City, in overall. The staff was very nice and the location is very convenient. 5min walk to the closest metro station and the same distance to reach the historical center.
However, the traffic outside was horrendous. We didn't even have a window facing the big street outside but we could hear the traffic very well.
We were out one night, after catching a Lucha Libre show and ate some tacos just a block from the hotel in the middle of the night. According to the locals it is a very dangerous area at night, and we should definately not be out walking at that time. But we walked all the way from Arena Mexico and took a stroll in the neighborhood a few evenings and didn't feel unsafe at all. Maybe we were lucky or it isn't as bad as people say. The area seemed completely safe during the day and even until 21-22 in the eveniing since there are so many people outside at the time.
