Great stay close to train station. Fairly cheap and nice vibe. You take off your shoes and lock them in at the entrance and you get clothes to wear inside the hotel. You also get socks you can use instead of walking barefoot.
You can easily see o the TV in the room if onsen or breakfast area is crowded. I entered early after check in and it was fairly empty. Had a nice time. However, I have tattoos, I will come back to that I the end.
Onsen had two outside hot springs, one small tub and one bigger. There was a nice relaxing area next to it and you could go from cold to hot quickly. Nice sauna, cold bath and pool inside.
You get one small and big town.
Breakfast area can be used freely outside breakfast hours to hang out or eat outside food. Also free soft hot drinks and juice service.
The whole place was clean and nice, but old furniture if it matters to anyone.
Close to Nara park and close to alot of places to eat.
Tattoos are not allowed in the onsen, which is a problem for us who have more than one tattoo. I happen to have a sleeve. Obviously I knew the etiquette rules before coming to Japan, but I still see this as a strange rule. I asked in the reception how to solve this and I received two skin colored stickers I could have on my tattoos. I finally got seven stickers that could cover my sleeve but I can tell you it was ihard to get off after being in the onsen. Took be about 1 hour to get it off.
Overall worth the price and I highly recommend coming here.
