We came to a locked gate and the phone went unanswered but the gentleman in the market across the street called for us and it turned out that the hotel is closed until March! The owner came and opened a room for us, took a third of the price we had expected to pay and ran around to get us a heater and more blankets. He was very kind and accommodating but unfortunately he seems to have accidentally turned the water off when he meant to turn it on, so we were not able to shower. Also the room was a little scruffy and while not exactly dirty, it wasn’t cleaned for us as they had no idea we were coming.
