4/10 Hyfsat

Avoid if You Suffer from Asthma / Allergies
The first thing you notice in the lobby is a naked man. Well he's wearing a t-shirt and (presumably) Speedos, but little else. Very peculiar thing to experience in a hotel lobby. (Note to management: You should definitely ban flip-flops and swimwear in public areas - this is a much better idea than banning people from bringing something to eat or drink in their own room. Comes across as greedy.) Had to bring my bag up from the lobby - despite calling reception.
The whole hotel is worn, except for the lobby bar, and the room had a damp, mouldy smell. After 20-30 minutes it was getting harder to breathe, my throat tickled, and there was a clear swelling around the eyes. Definitely mould, probably somewhere in the ventilation system. Got to switch rooms, and the symptoms cleared up, fortunately. Staff was mostly kind, but completely unapologetic.
At 10 PM the disco beats starts, causing the windows to vibrate. It's unbelieavably inconsiderate to expose your guests to a noise like that. This goes on until 4 A.M.; terribly annoying.
The lobby + bar is cozy, the (mould-free) room was quite nice - it had no bathtub, and was rather small though. Not sure what happened to the upgrade promised when booking. The spa facilities were not top-notch, not quite clean, and there was a mould-issue here as well, plus the whirlpool was freezing. Wi-fi unstable.
The breakfast was excellent, though, but on the whole, definitely not a 5-star experience.
