I stayed here in July, and the place was spotless and had a lively atmosphere, which is why I decided to return. Unfortunately, I was completely wrong to expect the same quality. My room had a strong chemical smell, as if they had tried to fumigate it instead of properly cleaning it. I would have left immediately, but I needed to work and required a desk. The hotel is no longer clean, and it felt more like an assisted living community, as the staff only did the bare minimum. The breakfast table had a locked milk fridge, and the milk was actually spoiled, even though it wasn’t expired. Something is definitely off, and I really hope Fairfield can restore this beautiful hotel to the welcoming place it once was.
