The hotel itself is in a nice area, staff was friendly when we checked in and responsive when I emailed them. They also paid attention to my birthday, which was very sweet. Room clean, water pressure good etc.
There are some things to consider when booking here though. First of all - the pictures of the rooms are deceptive. They look much bigger than they actually are. Rooms in Tokyo are small in general but the pictures made them seem larger than general. Clever solutions made it possible for two people to coexist in the rooms at the same time however, such as storage under bed for suitcases and plenty of empty shelving to use for your stuff.
And the other thing I wish I would have known. The breakfast is totally not worth 1500 yen per person per night. They should be ashamed of themselves as the food offered is subpar, premade everything, no selection of anything and almost no seating (they suggest you bring your tray of stuff to the reception floor). You're better off taking your money to the local kombini or the café next door. We walked to Dennys a few blocks away and had a tastier cooked breakfast for less money than the breakfast. Manager said they're reviewing the breakfast offering but make sure they actually changed it before you book.
Also final gripe, which is very minor. The elevator stops at the reception on the 2nd floor every time you go up. It's so annoying. Why does it do this even if you have the keycard to unlock it?
