The room was great looking, the view of a nearby church was amazing. And the staff were very service minded, specially a waiter in the restaurant called Pino who saw to our every need during meals. We had a massagetub in our bathroom, not the best but certantly a nice touch.
On the bad side the bed was very hard, they did not supply bathrobes and slippers as most other hotels do and the free wifi did not reach further than the room door, meaning we had to be outside our room to check our mail and there was just no possiblity of using services like Netflix or HBO in the room before bedtime and the like. They didn't have a pool for the hotel guests to use wich would have been nice considering the heat but they did have a small spa for two people. The spa however cost 35 Euro per person, meaning 70 Euro for us for 1,5 hours of use. That included a bubblepool and some nice lightning. Other spa services were priced as we were used too, a massage for around 90 Euros.
The area around the hotel was a little bit off in the way of shopping and cheaper restaurants but had a metro station just around the corner. A cab ride to the city center took around 10 minutes, mostly because of traffic. The restaurant at the hotel was quite expensive, around 30-40 Euro for a main dish, but the food was great. The restaurants outside the hotel were also higher priced than we were expecting but that ended up to be true about Rome in it's entirety.
All in all it was still a good experience.
