I knew when I booked the hotel that there wasn’t any air conditioning, instead there was a fan. I regretted that the minute I stepped in that room. It was so warm!! The fan did its best but it was not enough. Opening a window worked sometimes but since my window faced a very busy street and was very close to the Market Square with all its noise it was not possible. The Rezydent is a very dated and neglected hotel. In my room the wallpaper was crumbling and a light fixture on the wall was on its last leg. The entire place breath’s of the 80’s. The bathroom was ok though.
However, the staff was really nice and helpful and the location is spot on, just a minute walk to the Market Square. It’s surrounded by bars, restaurants, mini markets, ice cream parlors etc. And they serve a really decent breakfast.
That said, if or when I return to Krakow I will not book the Rezydent. Unless they give the place a complete makeover and install air conditioning.
