Stikliai Hotel is a pioneer luxury hotel in Vilnius, installed into several adjacent buildings right in Vilnius' beautiful old town.
The hotel is a member of "Relais & Chateux", which feels logical considering its luxuriousness, size, and good restaurants. We loved our stay and felt it was great value for money (which is often the case in Lithuania though).
At the moment the main restaurant is being renovated, so they currently use a smaller area by the winter garden which was still very nice. The tasting menu included lots of game meat and forest ingredients like mushrooms, and we enjoyed it a lot. We found the tasting menu for 85 euros to be a very good deal considering the level of cuisine; wine is still relatively expensive though.
The second restaurant, the Taverna, is also nice; they serve rustic traditional Lithuanian food, at prices a bit higher than in other places in town (which is kind of normal at a 5 star hotel).
Breakfast is great - not a huge choice, but well chosen, and with many interesting local foods (cheese etc).
Our stay included one hour private use of the spa area with pool & steam sauna, which was a luxurious touch; the pool is about 8 hours long so it's not for swimming.
Overall we loved the Stikliai.
