We stayed here for one night, and while it was a new experience and something different, we wouldn't go back. Our room in the 'Overseers Cottage' was dark and gloomy, which in all fairness might be in it's own right considering the surroundings and the history. However, there was one or two rooms on a floor above us, and when the guests came back to those rooms later in the evening, they might as well have been staying in our room considering the level of noise! Soo loud, no sound proofing whatsoever!
We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, and that was an experience we could've done without. Very unprofessional waiting staff, and the food was mediocre, at best. This place has the ambition to be Fine Dining, but ends up nowhere near.
The highlight of our stay was the complimentary guided tour, lasting about 1h, very interesting!
Summary: come here and take the tour but don't spend the night, and definitely don't visit the restaurant.
