And I'm not usually one to complain but… `;-(
The check-in was totally unorganized. A wedding company was checking in, and they were prioritized over everyone else, we had been waiting for our turn for a longer period of time. Whenever someone came in, they asked if they were part of the wedding, if not, you had to sit and wait. Finally checked in, dragged our bags in the room. Decided to have a cup of tea. The kettle was already slammed with water and two old tea bags, was smelling weird. Called the reception, took them forever to come up with a new kettle. By the time they came up, we were on our way out. No tea for us. Came back to the hotel after some strolling in town. Was trying to turn the AC on, didn’t work. Asked for help. No one came to help us. Went down to the reception, they promised they’d send a maintenance guy up. He never came. That day was crazy hot in London. It was even hotter in the room. Talked to them the morning after, they promised once again to have someone to fix it. Came back later that day, asked about the AC and according to the reception guy’s notes, the maintenance guy had been there and had fixed the AC. It wasn’t. The room was a sauna. Walked down to the reception and asked for their help again. It was late evening at this point. He was going to report it. Tried to sleep in that heat. Was impossible. When checking out we were met by a very nice guy, but still, the AC was never fixed and the experience of us staying at a 5-star hotel was bad.
