Beautiful historic building, good service
You get a pleasant surprise when you first enter the riad from the narrow street and corridor. It opens up into a beautiful foyer area. Our room was also a lovely historic room with an impressive painted ceiling. The room had everything we needed and we slept very well.
Breakfast was good and served on the rooftop in a nice room with large windows.
The service was generally very good although they did appear to be short staffed. The receptionist kept answering by phone while trying to check us in at the same time. We also found the front door locked and were unable to leave as a receptionist wasn’t at the desk.
The walk to the centre of the medina take
about 20 minutes and you will come across locals telling you certain routes are “closed” trying to get you to pay them money to show you the way. Trust your phone GPS. The hotel is near a road accessible by cars which is convenient for drop off and pick up. No need to drag cases through the narrow streets.
