I've stayed at this hotel a few times now on my monthly business trips to Mannheim and always enjoy the beautiful, upscale design of both the bar / restaurants and the rooms, particularly the bathrooms are worth to be mentioned. However, when it comes to service and especially the cleanliness of the rooms, this hotel stays quite far behind from what you'd expect for the price, clearly a class below its local competitors (Radisson, Dorint, Mercure): dirty glasses in the bathroom, a left-behind full garbage bag on the chair after the first night, dust and dried stains from wine glasses on the nightstand, shampoo and shower gel was only provided upon arrival, but I didn't receive any new bottles throughout the entire length of my stay (3 nights) which made me run out of shower gel on the morning of my departure. That's not very professional and will clearly make me reconsider future bookings. The service at the reception and in the restaurant etc. varies from average to good, in most cases friendly.
