This was my first time to NY on a whim and we had an incredible time touring Manhattan.
When we checked in the nice lady offered to book me a return airport shuttle. She said to meet in the lobby at 8am.
She also said to leave our bags with the bellman and they would take our bags up when the room was ready.
Very informative, gracious, and kind. Warm smile too.
When we came back to the hotel, our bags were not in our room so when we called front desk/room service we were expecting an apology, instead we were scolded for not coming to pick them up ourselves and then proceeded to degrade us saying we need to have the ticket, all while we were in shock that they were not delivered to us as aforementioned.
At checkout, we came to meet our 8am shuttle at 8:04am in the lobby. We were told we have to be there at 8am and it leaves without you. I was given the impression this was my shuttle so why would it leave without me especially only 4 minutes late. And if it was scheduled for me, and I didn't show, wouldn't the next step of service be to call your guest and check on them so they don't miss their flight? But I was again chastised for not knowing their policy, even though it was not explained at check in.
I called an uber. I would like some kind of consideration on my bill for the added stress and inconvenience please.
Please take the opportunity to coach your staff as you have a beautiful property.
