Location was good for us (family of 3), quiet area with a short walking distance to all the action. We experienced several problems during the 2 nights we stayed there. We booked through Expedia and at check-in they could see our booking but for some reason they had problems finding a room for us. When we got a room eventually we noticed that it was nothing like what we imagined it would be like. The public areas in the hotel are extremely nice and “boutique-style” but our room felt more like something from the 80’s. As it was quite warm we set the air condition to low and went to bed. After about 10 minutes the ac turned off and it continued to do so throughout the night so we had to take turns to get up and put it back on. The maintenance guy came in the morning but couldn’t figure out what was wrong since he didn’t have the “codes” for the ac. At around 5pm he got it fixed though but we weren’t allowed to set it to the lowest temperature as it could damage the ac again..? Not much sleep the second night either..
We brought some cheese from a local market and asked the hotel to keep it in the fridge for us (as there wasn’t one in the room). They were kind to do so but at checkout they couldn’t find it even though they looked for about 30 minutes. Then all of a sudden they remembered they had a fridge upstairs as well and the cheese was found..
Even though we didn’t get much sleep we enjoyed the public areas of the hotel and the new bartender was very nice.
