Good for hiking trip
The lodge is in a great location for entering the rocky mountain National park southeast entrance, and if you like to be away from the tourist traffic. The room is comfortable and bathroom very dated. It is a quick drive into town. What the lodge fails to mention is that they do not offer any daily service. So if you plan to stay multiple days, that means no clean towels or additional toilet paper. Maybe you can ask- but that requires finding someone to ask. After we checked in, we never saw a front desk person until we left.

The shower wasn't connected to the faucet in the tub. The water was light brown colored It left grit on your skin. I brought bottled water which we used for tooth brushing and drinking.The lock on the back door had a loose plate so it did not work.There is no signage when you arrive or directions to check-in. The internet is very spotty.

A Lovely Quite setting near Estes Park, Colorado.
I must admit when I discovered that we would be virtually be "cold turkey" off our computer, phone, and tv, we were delighted to enjoy a mind-cleansing evening of quiet peace and lightness. I highly recommend this location, the staff and feeling of well-being when you leave the property

We stayed here needing a room for the evening only but after my stay, i was very impressed with the possibilities of the overall facility. This would be an excellent place for a family reunion, business conference, wedding, anniversary party, etc. The place is very large, open with large rooms for meetings, parties, training, or whatever your needs. The outside area is immense and very beautiful. The staff was so very polite and accommodating, my guess is they would be outstanding to plan your next special event here. The location is far enough from Estes Park to be quiet yet close enough to run for any needs. I loved the place and see the possibilities with someone who loves to plan new and fun events. I would give them a call. Our room was very nice, spacious and very clean. I highly recommend this facility even for one night stays too.
