I’ve stayed here as much as my home the past two months for work. Almost all the staff is great with the exception of the lady working the desk most mornings. I upgraded my room to the best they offer cause I planned on staying another month. The new suite was filthy, smelled like smoke and dirty bedding. I was told she could try to switch me but the other rooms would be the same. Seemed as if my request bothered her so I just went and spent $50 on cleaning supplies to make the room comfortable. Today is my day that I rebook and the vendors website was having problems. I immediately called the desk to explain.(I haven’t been late one time). She tells me that I have till 11:30 to get my things from the room or they will charge $50(not posted anywhere or in signed agreement). She then gives me the option of $119/night which is double price on the group website. I paid on time, cleaned my own room, washed my own bedding, and not once asked for room service yet still given absolutely zero hospitality or accommodation. I never asked to be reimbursed for all the stuff I had to buy, never asked for anything free whatsoever, yet treated poorly by the same employee again and again. I planned on staying another month but left today. It cost nothing to be kind, respectful, and accommodating to people who are paying your business when there are so many choices out there. If that’s how someone is treated who has stayed 40+ nights, I can’t imagine how they would treat someone new.
