This was a good hotel with good value for money. Bus stop, tube and some restaurants were very close by. Unfortunately, our overall experience wasn't so good, because of some impolite front desk staff. When we arrived, they couldn't give us the triple room we had booked, allegedly due to maintenance (later we found out it was due to double-booking), so we were placed in three single rooms on two different floors. The guy was not in the least apologetic about this and when we asked a question about the size of the double beds, he was flat-out rude and pretended not to know what queen and king size meant. When we were to change to a triple room after the first night, we were asked in the morning to leave our luggage in the completely open front desk area and had to argue for several minutes to be allowed to leave the bags in a locked room instead. There were also some issues like us having to run down to the front desk a couple of times because the key cards didn't work. The staff were never apologetic or even polite about this. So strange - kindness is free! Finally, there was an environmental issue that bugged us. The bathrooms featured the sign asking guests to request fresh towels by putting the towels on the floor - we always left our towels on the rack but were still given clean towels every day.
