Excellent service! The co-manager, Massimo, greeted us when arrived (late!) and graciously took the time to give some information about some of Rome's sights and best local restaurants. The B&B is located in the heart of the Prati/Borgo area of Rome, with all the main attractions in close walking distance. The neighborhood feels very safe, is rather quiet (for Rome!) and the area is filled with trattorias and pizzerias. Minimarket around the corner, and a supermarket around the block. Some people might find the rooms small, but as we never spend to much time in the room we found the size adequate. We never turned the TV on, so I cannot comment on its contents. But then again, if you are spending too much time in the room watching TV you are doing Rome wrong! The beds were firm and comfortable. Bathroom was nice and clean, with a spacious shower cubicle, supplied with soap, shower gel and shampoo. The drain in our sink was clogged when we arrived, but at soon as we pointed this out to the manager this was fixed promptly. The breakfast was very basic, but adequate and fresh. The caretaker Mario was very attentive and brought us freshly made coffee and toast to the table. There was a selection of croissants and pastries, with marmalade, cheese and cold cuts for the bread. The air conditioner worked well in keeping us cool in the 35 degree Roman summer heat, but it was a bit loud during the night. All in all a great experience, and I would definitely recommend this B&B to others!
